History of Bradbury Park

The Name BRADBURY PARK has come from Family Racing Interests.
Ian Bradbury, a Trainer many years ago, is the Grandfather of Michelle.

Bradbury Park was established in January 2010, leasing a small block of land with 16 Stables in Peria Road, Matamata and starting out with only a handful of horses.

In June 2010 Casey and Michelle Dando purchased a Dairy Run Off in Te Poi, Matamata being the heart of the Thoroughbred Industry. This property comprises of 45 acres that had an existing 4 Boxes. Majority of the Property is hedged, the contour is flat plus a little rolling. The existing barns have been renovated in to Stable Blocks, as at July 2011 there is a total of 20 Boxes.  The whole farm has needed to be developed with new fencing to replace the old dairy wire fences, fantastic, strong Colt yards have been built, dry mare yards with new lighting are only some of the facilities that have made Bradbury Park attractive.

Leasing further land set up appropriately for Thoroughbreds, Bradbury Park now homes ten times the number of horses they originally started with.

Development continues on the Main Farm where further Colt Yards will be built, an Office and new Homestead are further goals.

Bradbury Park may be new to the Industry by name but not by Experience.

We welcome one and all to come and visit the Farm. Just give us a call.
